OUR STORY
Our story begins with our first child, a happy, energetic boy with boundless love. When he was diagnosed with autism, we set out on a journey to find the right approach and support, one that would help him develop crucial skills while honoring his unique personality.
Finding the right fit wasn’t easy. Too often, we found ourselves guiding professionals instead of receiving the direction and expertise we needed. Over years of trial and error, we discovered what truly worked: approaches that respected his autonomy, built on his strengths, and never took away the things he loved.
We realized that the most effective support isn’t about compliance or changing who a child is; it’s about helping them feel happier, more confident, and comfortable in their own skin. That belief inspired us to start Potential On The Rise, a place where families could find respectful, empowering support that celebrates individuality.
ABOUT US
We are a family built on love, hope, and resilience. Former New Yorkers, we moved to Los Angeles seeking a better quality of life for our two amazing children and the right support for our son. Along the way, we became entrepreneurs and advocates, building a company rooted in personal experience and professional excellence.
Our son is a loving, joyful young man with significant support needs who communicates nonverbally. His younger sister is kind, artistic, and wise beyond her years. She has navigated her own challenges with dyslexia while inspiring us with her strength and compassion.
Early on, we realized that “good enough” was not good enough. We searched until we found professionals who shared our values and believed in building on our son’s strengths without trying to change who he is. That determination became the foundation of Potential On The Rise.
Our experience taught us how much the right support can change a family’s life. We are honored to help other families build confidence, independence, and meaningful skills while ensuring each individual is respected and celebrated for who they are.
ABOUT JESS
Jessica’s journey in the field of special education began as a classroom aide, where she discovered her passion for helping children with unique needs. Guided by educators and mentors, she was introduced to ABA and soon recognized that her calling was to dedicate herself to supporting children and their families.
Over the years, she gained wide-ranging experience as an in-home therapist and a school-based behavior intervention assistant before becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Our story with Jessica began on a personal level. As parents seeking support for our son, we met many professionals, but Jessica stood out as the most exceptional BCBA we had ever encountered. What makes her truly unique is her creativity and her whole-child approach. Jessica looks at the whole person, considering each individual’s strengths, needs, interests, and goals to design truly personalized programs. With our son, who has significant support needs, her innovative methods have helped him make progress we once thought were out of reach.
Today, as Clinical Director and Co-Founder of Potential On The Rise, Jessica continues to lead with the same passion, creativity, and excellence that helped shape the company from the beginning. She is not only a brilliant clinician but also a partner to families, helping each individual grow with compassion, dignity, and joy. To us, and to the families we serve, Jessica is truly the best of the best.
